Downloads Vectorworks Updates:

These downloadable updates are available as a free service to registered Australian Vectorworks users. If you have trouble downloading any of the updates, they may also be available on DVD from OzCAD for $20.00 including GST and postage. Note that not all updates are released on DVD.

This update can also be accessed by choosing "Check for Updates" from the Vectorworks menu on a Mac, or from the Help menu on a Windows machine.

Macintosh: Choose "Check for Updates" from the Vectorworks menu.

Windows: Choose "Check for Updates" from the Help menu.

Vectorworks 2009 SP5 must be applied using this downloadable updater. You cannot install this update by installing with a prior version DVD and requesting that it check for updates.

Make sure your Macintosh executable is named "Vectorworks 2009" (if your Finder is configured to show application file extensions, your file name will display as "Vectorworks 2009.app").

Make sure your Windows executable is named "Vectorworks2009" (if Windows is configured to show application file extensions, your file name will display as "Vectorworks2009.exe").

For Windows users it is important that you decompress the zip file in the following manner: Right click the zip archive you download from this page, and select 'Extract All.' If using XP, click the 'Next' button twice to extract the files; or if using Vista click 'Extract.' Do not simply drag the files to your desktop while browsing the archive, or the update will fail.

Vectorworks 2009 SP5 Series E updates will require that you re-activate your license after you install. For SP5 this involves a new one step process which is easier than prior releases of Vectorworks 2009. It does, however require that you activate Vectorworks using an internet connection which allows Vectorworks to access a web server without firewall or proxy server security restrictions. If you have trouble activating, please first check your local and network firewall or other network security settings.

Vectorworks 2009 SP5 sends information to NNA about application crashes to allow us to improve application quality. If you object to this functionality you must disable it in your application preferences.

This updater will ask for the current location of your Vectorworks installation and will update it in place. It modifies only files which were originally installed with the product and leaves other files untouched. If you have customized Vectorworks since installing, you should make a backup prior to installing the 2009 SP5 update.

Vectorworks 2008 Updates
These downloads will update all English-language Vectorworks 2008 products (Architect, Landmark, Spotlight, Machine Design, Fundamentals, and RenderWorks) to version 2008 SP3 (Build 88670). If you are currently using a version of Vectorworks prior to 2008, you must first install version 2008 and then update it to 2008 SP3 using this updater. If you have a Design Series product (Architect, Landmark, Machine Design or Spotlight) then please also download the appropriate ANZ update below.

Before proceeding, please make sure that the Macintosh Vectorworks application is named "Vectorworks 2008", or the Windows Vectorworks executable is named "Vectorworks2008" (or "Vectorworks2008.exe" if Windows is configured to show application file extensions).

If you install from the existing DVD and choose to check for online updates, Service Pack 3 will already be installed. If unsure, check the version in the "About Vectorworks" dialogue, which can be found in the Help menu on Windows or the Vectorworks menu on the Mac. The Application Version line should read "2008 SP3 (Build 88670)".

Vectorworks 12 Updates
These links allows you to update installed versions of Vectorworks 12 to either Vectorworks 12.0.1 or Vectorworks 12.5.3 and will work with Architect, Landmark, Machine Design, Spotlight, Designer and RenderWorks. Note that there is a choice of updaters depending on whether you are using VW 12.5.x, or an earlier version of 12.

Those using Architect Australia 12.x.x or Designer 12.x.x may need to download additional updaters, so please read the Architect Australia 12.5.3 Updates section below as well.

Those using Landmark Australia 12.0.x or Designer 12.0.x please read the Landmark Australia 12.5 Updates section below.

Architect Australia 12.5.1 Updates
If you already had Architect Australia 12.5.1 installed and simply updated to VW 12.5.3 using the links above, you do not need download any additional updaters. If you were using an earlier version of Architect Australia or Designer 12, please read on.

These links allow you to update installed versions of Vectorworks Architect Australia or Designer 12.0.x or 12.5.0 – that have been updated to version 12.5.1 using the Vectorworks 12 links above – to Architect Australia or Designer 12.5.1. These updaters will not update a new installation of Vectorworks Architect 12.5.1 to Architect Australia 12.5.1. For this you will need to purchase the Architect Australia 12.5.1 DVD from OzCAD.

Landmark Australia 12.5 Updates
If you already had Landmark Australia 12.5.1 installed and simply updated to VW 12.5.3 using the links above, you do not need download any additional updaters. If you were using an earlier version of Landmark Australia 12, please read on.

These links allow you to update installed versions of Vectorworks Landmark Australia 12.0.x or Designer 12.0.x – that have been updated to version 12.5.1 using the Vectorworks 12 links above – to Landmark Australia 12.5.0. If you had previously downloaded this update for Landmark Australia 12.5.0, there is no need to download it again for 12.5.1 as it has not changed between these versions.

There are only two small files to download, uncompress (if the downloaded file still ends with a .zip suffix) and install. The IP Resources file has to be copied to the Plug-ins folder within the Vectorworks 12.5.x folder. You will know you have the correct location because you will be asked if you wish to replace the existing IP Resources file. The Landmark Australia 12.5 workspace file has to be copied to the Workspaces folder within the Vectorworks 12.5.x folder.

Vectorworks 11 Updates
These links allow you to update installed versions of Vectorworks 11.0.0 to Vectorworks 11.5.1 and works with all modules. Those using Architect Australia 11.0.1, have been sent an update CD from OzCAD. If you have not received this yet, please email .

If you are more then one version behind, you need to download the intermediate updates as well. For example, if you are running Vectorworks 11.0.1 and wish to update to 11.5.1, you need to download the 11.5.0 and 11.5.1 updaters, then progressively install each one.

Those using Architect Australia 11.5.0 or the Industry Collection 11.5.0, can download and install the 11.5.1 updater without requiring an additional CD from OzCAD.

Vectorworks 10 Updates
These links allow you to update installed versions of Vectorworks 10 to the nominated version. If you are more then one version behind, you need to download the intermediate updates as well.

For example, if you are running Vectorworks 10.1 and wish to update to 10.5.1, you would need to download the 10.1.2, 10.5 and 10.5.1 updaters, then progressively install each one.

Vectorworks 9 Updates
These links allow you to update installed versions of Vectorworks 9 to the nominated version. If you are more then one version behind, you need to download all the intermediate updates as well.

For example, if you are running Vectorworks 9.5.1 and wish to update to 9.5.3, you would need to download the 9.5.2 and 9.5.3 updaters, then progressively install each one.

Vectorworks 8 Updates
These links allow you to update installed versions of Vectorworks 8 to the nominated version. If you are more then one version behind, you need to download all the intermediate updates as well.

The one exception to this is the 8.5.2 updater, which will update both 8.5.0 and 8.5.1 installations.
